Essiac tea is a traditional herbal tea blend originally associated with Canadian nurse Rene Caisse. Genuine Essiac is prepared from blended herbs and brewed as a beverage. Many customers choose it because they want a simple, traditional herbal tea routine with clear brewing instructions and reliable sourcing.

This product is a food item intended to be brewed and consumed as a beverage. It comes in four 4 oz. bags, with each bag making approximately one gallon of tea.

Genuine Essiac uses an eight-herb Rene Caisse-style Essiac formula, including sheep sorrel root. The herbs are powdered so the plant material remains in the brewed tea instead of being discarded.

For customers who want more detail, you can review our full ingredient and nutrition information here: Nutrition Facts and Certificate of Analysis.

Each 4 oz. bag makes approximately one gallon of brewed tea. The tea can be brewed in about ten minutes, then stored in the refrigerator and poured as desired.

Complete brewing instructions are included with your order. You can also view our brewing guide here: How to Make Essiac Tea.

This size is most appropriate for pets smaller than 85 lb. If you consume 3 oz. of Essiac three times per day, which is the most common usage rate, you will save money with one of these packages:

• Choose four pre-measured 4 oz. packets. You'll save money as compared to the 18 1 oz. package option and still won't have to weigh or measure the herbs.
• Upgrade to thirteen 4 oz. packets (it's 3 lb. 4 oz. of herbs) and save $49 as compared to the eighteen 1 oz. packets order.
